QuickBase has taken the steps to sanitize most inputs so that you can't sneak HTML code into various places unless they specifically allow it. So you have to take another approach if you want to customize the interface in ways that QuickBase has not created an explicit feature to do so.

The first thing is to gain control of the dashbaord. You can do this by placing a specially constructed "Web Page" on the dashboard that contains the appropriate JavaScript to make other changes to the dashboard. Here is a dashboard that contains a specially constructed "Web Page" that modified a button to display with multiple lines of text:

The magic is happening because the following "Web Page" modifies the button of the dashboard:

The fadeout and changing of the background color are just visualizations added to the dashboard page to show you that the dashboard is being modified by the iframe.html page. In production you would take steps to insure that the iframe.html is not visible and only does the task of modifying the button to have multiple lines of text.

Needless to say this technique can modify the dashboard to do anything you want. We need to come up with a snappy name for this powerful technique. How about "Powerful Dashboard Technique" ?
