Converting a numeric formula field to display currency

I am new (first day) to formulas. A lot of learning to do! I am attempting to take a numeric formula field and have it display the results in a currency. Currently it only displays the numbers like, 2.65 and I want the result to show $2.65. I know this is super basic stuff, but I was unable to find an example to do this.

  • No problem. Just edit the field properties and set the # of decimals to 2 and ask for currency format,. You also can choose a comma formatting.
  • If you go to "field properties" (by right clicking on the field name), you will see a section called "display," where you can say display as "currency" and select "symbol" "$" and position "before the number". Hope this helps.
  • Easy as can be. I was very much over thinking that process. I did not even look at the Field properties. Now I know. Thank you!
  • :). Quick Base is not difficult, but there are like 1,000 easy things to learn once.
