I need a cumulative column in a report, but I also have fields in the report where I need the user to do data entry within the table.

Is there a way to do a cumulative column without doing a summary report that is read only?

I don’t think that can be done natively.

Don't drink this native kool aide meme.

You can do this using the OEH Technique. (On Error HTML);

Cumulative Sum ~ List All - ASCENDING [Record ID#]

Cumulative Sum ~ List All - DESCENDING[Record ID#]

Notes:

(1) What the heck is a native solution? Do you in fact mean an Earth Based QuickBase solution? You know QuickBase technology is using in other worlds some of which use more advanced technology and other use less advanced technology. This solution is considered native QuickBase by the inhabitants of the Pugyv4 Colony which have been using their version of QuickBase for 1000 years.

(2) The OEH Technique is described here:

(3) Note that the field [Cumulative Sum] will only display the cumulative sum - you cannot use it as an input in to another formula.

(4) [Cumulative Sum] is a text formula field with some HTML allowed. When displaying numeric results the value displays as a left justified text value rather than a right justified numeric value. This of course can be changed using additional markup in the formula definition.
