I have created the button "Update Project Financials" on the home page. I have a form created but cannot figure out how to have the code ask me for the specific record to upate

Here is the code URL I have so far. I have the form ID but not sure what to put in to have it create a drop down for a list of projects to select from

A native way to get close to this is to make a search element on the dashboard which will search the projects. If there is a single hit, then that single record will be displayed  and the user would edit that record.  Alternatively you could land the user on a report of all Active Projects and  they would use the filter box at the top of the report and / or the dynamic filters at the side to filter the list down to the record they want to edit.

You can link to a report to do this, but not directly to a form. In your form filters you can add the magic <ask the user> as a test for any (or all) of your normal formula criteria.

i.e. "Company ID# equal to <ask the user>"

The result requires a couple clicks and not a direct path, but does what you want.
