I've been using ToDate(Trim(Right(Part([LOG FIELD],-2,"["),"]"))) to capture the previous date, in a formula-date field, but I've now changed my log field to have new entries at the top (instead of bottom). How do I manipulate the formula above to get the 2nd value from the top, which is the previous date. Thanks in advance for the help.

Is it ToDate(Trim(Left(Part([LOG FIELD],-2,"["),"]"))) perhaps?

I assume because the date was at the bottom or right of the field it worked and now its at the top of the field the above should work although may need some adjustment to the -2 depending on the position of the data.

If this hasnt answered your question then, it would be helpful if you could paste a screenshot of the data field perhaps from a dummy record so we can see the issue in more detail.
