The basic problem is that for large tables, the custom home page doesn't work.

This is the response I got from QB support:

This is indeed a limitation of the number of records.This happens when there are over 10,000 records in those tables and that's why it's displaying the advanced search. The table homepage itself says "Where are my filters? We display search instead of filters when your table reaches a certain size."


What's interesting is let's say you want to use a report that shows only 300 records, choosing that report still gives the message and doesn't show the report.


This is how it's currently designed, no matter which report you choose on the back end we still need to process all the records in the table, and perform permission checks against those records, in order to populate whatever report you have. So because of that no matter which report you use it won't display because there are just too many records in those tables.


You will need to delete some records to get it under 10,000 records in order for a custom report to show.


I also encourage you to put in a user voice and request that we honor custom reports that filter to under 10,000 records.
