Hiding embedded report Using a Test

I have a form which should only open to create a record once a test has been met. So in the case, as soon as a user selects a parent record, it is tested and and using form rules, it hides all sections and provides a message to user advising that record cannot be created.  This works well.  However, in cases, where test has been met, and user is now creating a record, I would like to show and hide a section of the form depending on the value selected in a field on the form. In this case, my form rules don't work as a similar hide/show has been used earlier. Here I find the form rules to be really inflexible. If I could find a way to somehow hide the embedded report in the section, I could live with this. Will appreciate some pointers.

You will need to pull out references to that section from your main form rule. Then in the firm rule which applies to that one section only, have a rule which meets both tests in order to show the section.
