Currently I am using a multi-line field to capture a list of names and their corresponding job titles.

i.e. a populated field called "Board Members" would look like this:

Bob Ross, Art Director

Nancy Smith, Chief IS Officer

I'm fairly new to using QuickBase, so I figured a multi-line field would be the easiest way to capture a dynamic list since the number of board members can change from customer to customer.

Anyway, when I try to create a printable exact form from a multi-line text field, It doesn't look the way I'd like it to. Is there a way for me to generate bullet points for each line of text in a multi-line field?

i.e.

  • Bob Ross, Art Director
  • Nancy Smith, Chief IS Officer

Would I need to change everything completely? Or is there some kind of field code that will display the field how I want on my exact form?

Thank you for the help

I cant help you with the bullet points as you would need javascript to achieve that to replace /n or <br> with <li> or something along those lines. I can however assist with retaining formatting of multi line fields in exact forms. See below:

Try creating a formula text field with html enabled with this code and reference the Board Members Field. Then use this field in your exact form.

"<span id=&quot;Detail&quot;'><pre style='font-family:&quot;Helvetica&quot;,&quot;Tahoma&quot;,&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;!important;font-size:100%!important;'>"&([Board Members])&"</pre></span>"
