How can I transfer date from one table to another prompted by a field option?

I have an employee time report form I would like users to fill-out to be reviewed and approved by their managers. Once each manager approves their employee's time, I would like to transfer the time report data from it's table to a master table .

It's unusual for records to be transferred between tables, and I wonder if there might be a better way to accomplish the same timecard approval. If you can open a support case by going to Help > Manage Support Cases > + New Support Case, I think it would be good if one of our customer care specialists can take a look at your specific app to find the best solution.

You can do this with script. It is unusual in terms of database conventions but there is nothing wrong with doing it. You sort of treat your tables as in baskets and out baskets with the transfer between the two tables occurring by script on a button click or other event.

I created an application called Whac-A-Mole that transferred a record between two tables when deleted:
