How do I get Quickbase to recognize a Date/Time field from an Excel file upload? Right now we are using separate fields but I need one field.

Current workflow is to take an Excel that has one Date/Time column, duplicate the column and use Excel formatting to display the same data in either Date or Time. I want to cut out this step and have Quickbase recognize the original Date/Time column. I need to be able to perform calculations on this Date/Time in Quickbase for employee timesheets.

If I understand you correctly - you want to upload one Date/Time column in Excel, and have it upload into a Date/Time field in QuickBase.

I did some quick tests - and it actually works pretty much as you'd expect.

In an Excel CSV file, I had the following values (one on each row):

8/7/2016 6pm 1/12/2016 3:45am 3/23/2016 4:59pm
Then I uploaded this into a Date/Time column QuickBase - using both the "copy from clipboard", and "import from a file - CSV" methods.
And it worked - the Date/Time column in QuickBase shows the following values:
08-07-2016 06:00 PM01-12-2016 03:45 AM03-23-2016 04:59 PM
What does your Date/Time values in Excel look like?  I think it's just a matter of getting that column into something QuickBase will recognize as a Date/Time on the import.
