I just put in place a ton of updates to our system for tracking photo shoots in our photo studio. There is one key function that I cannot quite nail down.

I need to generate a "pick list" of the products in our inventory that are related to one of our projects. This would allow our warehouse team to quickly locate the merch and bring it to the desired location.

4 tables involved:  (ER diagram attached)

  • Creative briefs, project level details; due date, assignments, etc
  • Sample Requests, for ordering and tracking products from suppliers
  • Products, list of all product info; sku, description, color, etc
  • Inventory, list of products in our inventory; date received, location, etc
I can't build a report link between Creative Briefs and Inventory because there is no field that will match up directly between the tables.

The ideal solve would be a button on the Creative Brief form that returns a list of all the related Items in our inventory.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How would the button know which inventory items to show?  ie, how would a manual user not using the systems know which invents items they might need?
