I would like to create a dashboard that has multiple charts and reports....and have all the charts and reports "filtered" to a specific State. I do not want to create 50 dashboards.....any ideas?

52 dashboards if you need to count Puerto Rico and DC.

So a way to do this is to have a table of users called perhaps User Focus where the Key field is set to be the userid.  On that table there would be a drop down selection for the state.

Then on each detail table where there are charts being sourced, you will  need a field called [Current User] with a formula of User().  That will calculate the the current user.

Then you will make a relationship back to the User Focus table based on that field and look up the User Focus value for the State which is in Focus.

Then use that as a filter in all your Dashboard reports.  The magic is the two people sitting "side by each" will both look at the same dashboard and see different results.  You will probably want to concoct a way to show the user focus on the dashboard.  A good way to do that is to put up a report of all Users filtered by where the userid is the current user, and show their selection.  Then that is how the users will edit their selected State.
