I have an embedded related records report in my exact form but I want to remove the table borders. Is this possible?

This is trivial using a client-side templating technology such as Mustache (which is already hosted in and used by QuickBase along with Underscore which also has a templating capability and perhaps a few others libraries - yes these libraries are already hosted by QuickBase and just lying dormant by users). Moreover, ES6 is introducing direct support in JavaScript for "template strings" as well as a <template> tag as part of Web Components (which is already supported in Chrome). Templates are the way to go. You can play with ES6 features in the es6fiddle playground (press play button to execute):

And there are already polyfills for the bulk of ES6 features not yet implemented in browsers but you are going to see a rapid adoption in the next year as all the browsers are evergreen (self updating). My advice is to use native JavaScript for all your templating needs as you will not run into arbitrary problems and have the greatest flexibility to customize a solution. Web technology is evolving so fast that what was state of the art last year is now history.
