Is there a way to select multiple dates in a single field - not a single date range.

i have a project that has multiple blackout dates where work cannot be scheduled. in this case there are about 30 dates, but other projects have different blackout dates so i'd like to find a way to create a single field for all blackout dates per project.

the field i'm imagining is like the list user field where we can select up to ten users by clicking the check box.

QuickBase does not have that concept.  You would need to have a child record of blackout dates.

QuickBase uses the jQuery UI datepicker and there is a plugin that will allow multiple date selection. You can see a simple demo here where multiple dates are accumulated into a comma separated list input field:

Multiple Date Selection jQuery UI Plugin - Form input Demo

But as you can see there are a lot of additional features and configurations documented on that page.

I have never implemented the exact feature you need but it would not be difficult using script and the IOL technique.

If you somehow want to used the multiple dates collected to test for overlapping date ranges or previously claimed dates you will need additional script to implement these capabilities - but it is all possible and not as difficult as you might think.
