Hello!

I have a Master-Child table relationship, using a text reference field.  The relationship is 1 to many and the master has a unique ID set on the reference field.  The link is working as I can pull summary fields from Child to Master,  However, when I add lookup field in the child, the columns remain blank and nio value come through.  It's is driving me crazy!

Any help gratefully received.

Make sure that your records have the [Related Parent] value populated; then make sure that your Lookup fields are actually looking up a field (look at the field characteristics) and make sure there is a foreign value field.  Also check that it it is referencing the relationship in the lookup field.

Make sure that the Lookup field is the same "type" of field as the one you are looking up.  For example, you can't build a text field; then change the foreign value to a numeric field and expect the text field to still work.  If you changed your parent field-type; then the lookup field will break and has to be re-added.  You cannot change the 'type' of a Lookup field.
