Hi, one of the tables that I use in quickbase is a live data feed from another program, is there a easy way in quickbase that you could record this data into a seperate report at a set time each day in order to keep a record that could then be utlised in other tables?? Currently we are manually saving the data in excel using a QUNECT link, however this is dependant on someone remembering to save the data daily.

Thanks in advance

I had to do this for a company that dealt with a 'material' that was audited and tracked very closely by some government agencies.

What we did was create a snapshot table of all the records, and it would create a daily snapshot of each line.  (at least the important information)  Then they could go back to audit their records for any day, even if they data was changed or adjusted.  They used it to show influxes and variance reporting for the 'material'

This might be a solution for you depending out your needs, it could be a similar set up.

You might want to consider a log table similar to what Matthew is suggesting. There are two options:

1) Import into the audit-trail table and roll-up the most recent results using a reverse-parent child to the actual parent table. Meaning, no real data is stored on the parent.
2) Import into the main table (still a parent) and then use an automated process to push the data daily into the audit trail table using something like Webhooks, Zapier, table-to-table import or QuickBase actions.
