We are tracking a bunch of different tasks in QB and are wanting to start a countdown timer when a task is changed. How I would like to do this is as follows:

Once a task is put into the system it would take the [Task Creation Date] and start a countdown 24 hours from that date/time.

Once task [Status]  is changed to "assigned" i would like to start a countdown timer for 48 hours or 120 hours depending on if a check boxes is checked

If the countdown timer ever gets to 0 i would like to flag the task at Late by checking a checkbox named [LATE]

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

One version of this that you can do in native QuickBase - would be to have a Formula field that lists [Time until Deadline].

If that would work for you - I can give my suggestions on how to do that.

Hello David,

Below I'll list a bunch of fields which you'll need to create, but in the end it will accomplish your task.

[Deadline 1] -> Formula - Date:

[Date Created]+Days(1)

[Deadline 2] -> Formula - Date:

If([120hrs Check],[Date Created]+Days(5),[Date Created]+Days(2))

[Late] -> Formula - Checkbox:

If([Deadline 2]=Today(),true,false)

[Countdown] -> Formula - Text:

If([Late],"Late!",Hours([Deadline 2]-Today()))

Hopefully all of the above solve your issues!
