This sounds simple but its tricky - How to make a new field (In my case a description field) show only when a multi-select is updated or changed after saving?

I've got this far: On form rules, when a record is saved, and   [all]  any   of the following conditions are true:

Status (my field name) has been changed?

This is where I'm stuck. I want to show a new description field.

The only two option I get in Action is:

Change and Abort the Save. But I want to show a new description field so that the users can mention the reason for changing the status.

Please help

I suggest trying this setup.

1. Make a new field called [Previous Status]

2. Form rule to say: When the record is saved, change the value of [Previous Status] to the value in the field [Status].  Initially show that [Previous Status] field somewhere on the form.

3. Form Rules to say: When [Status] is not equal to the value in the field [Previous Status], make [Reason required].  [Reason} should be a text field set to "Log Changes".

Let me know if that works for you and i will will mark this as an Answer.

Once it works you can try hiding removing that [Previous Status] field off the form or else show it on the form but hidden from all users by a form rule.
