Add records for every record on a report

We are currently using a button on each record to add a record to another table and edit the record to remove that record from the report. I want to keep the function of the button but in some cases use the button to create a record for each record and edit each record. It would work similar to api_purge records command by targeting all the records on that report only. Has anyone tried this before?

This is possible with script and in addition I have a native method which I use for these type of mass updates and multiple mass updates, for example to create a set of records and then mass edit a set of records.  But the method, while native,  is too much to explain on a step by step basis on this forum.
