I'm trying to hide fields if a particular file attachment field is empty. The following does not work:

When [Document Slot 1] is equal to null (I'm not typing null, I'm leaving the criteria blank)

then hide [Checkbox field 1]

I've also tried the inverse of this. Any suggestions?

Yes, it is possible. Please, follow these steps:

1. Lets` create two fields [X]- File Attachment and [Y]-checkbox.

2. Right click on the field,[X].

Choose "Edit the properties of this form element..."

You will see: Elements- Properties-Dynamic Form Rules.

Choose "Dynamic Form Rules"

3. Add a New Rule:

When [X] > 0, change [Y] to checked.

4. Now create one more rule for changing form.

Like, If [Y] checked show or hide [Some] fields.

Good luck!

This isn't working for me.  I can't get a dynamic rule to fire off of an attachment field at all, regardless of the action.  When the rule says "when [X] > 0" it doesn't work.  When I make it say "When [X] is not equal to " then leave the next box blank, it doesn't work.  It's like the form rules refuse to recognize when a file is uploaded.
