Can certain roles able to see the record entry on a table but, not able to "View" or "Edit" the record detail unless a request status field is changed/approved?

I have a request form that I would like certain roles to see the entry on a table list but unable to "View" or "Edit' detail unless I change an approval field to "Approved".

No problem,  two soluitons

Use a form Rule

When [Approved] is not equal to Approved

and any of the following

User is in the role [regular employee]

User is in the Role [low level employee]

hide Section

hide section...

so just hide the sections on the form which have any useful information.  But innovative employees may create reports to see the extra fields, so you would need to block them from being able to customize reports, which is pretty draconian.

Better solution might be to use the new QuickBase Synch to make an auto updated table of record titles.  Then there is no details in that table to look at.
