I have a multiselect field named "Type" which contains texts as "Red", "White", "Black", "Yellow". And I also have 4 checboxes named "Red", "White", "Black", "Yellow". So what I want is when I select Red checkbox, then the value of "Type" field should change to "Red" and when I select both "White" and "Red" then the value of "type" field should show both "Red" and "White". The dynamic form rule will work out, but I will have to create many dynamic field to include all the colors. Is there any easier method to implement this functionality.

I'm confused.  A multi selct field is an input field type for data entry.  The checkbox fields that you have are also data entry fields.  Then you are also asking about forms rules.  Can you clarify your question?

I am likewise confused. Well maybe I am more muddled than confused but definitely not perplexed. Befuddled might be more accurate. Any who, I think the OP wants to input values via check boxes but likes the compact display of the multi-select field. If that is the case by various formulas you can concatenate the checkbox states together in to a string  that is a compact representation.
