Hello,

I am trying to create a multiple choice field for e-mail addresses. What i want to do is create 5-10 "email fields" on my "client" table named Email #1, Email #2 and so on. Then when someone goes to create a "ticket" and they select their client, i would love to be able to give them a drop down selection of all the e-mails listed in client table for that particular client. the reason for this is so we can choose who to send the email notifications to.

Is this possible? i have done a lot of research on the forms here and i can't seem to find anything relating to this.

Thanks!

Try using Conditional Dropdowns for this.

The setup would be something like this:

3 Tables:  Clients, Contacts, Tickets

Relationships:

1 Client has many Contacts

1 Client has many Tickets

1 Contact has many Tickets

Fields:

- Contacts is where you would store the Email addresses (and maybe names, etc.), 1 for each Contact

- in Ticket > Related Contact - that's where you'd set up the conditional behavior

The values in this field depend on a selection in another field

Show choices where Tickets: Related Client = Contacts: Related Client

Result:

First you'd add a Client record.

Then you'd add the Contact records for that Client.

Once this is set up, then when you add a Ticket, first you'd select a Client.  Then the Contacts conditional dropdown will update to show only the Contacts (e.g. email addresses) for the selected Client.
